Summary: The Enterprise Architect role at a Tier 1 investment bank is crucial for shaping the technology strategy to align with business goals and regulatory requirements. The position involves providing strategic guidance and innovative solutions to enhance banking services and operational resilience. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable technology solutions and lead the implementation of cloud and data architectures. This role requires extensive experience in enterprise architecture within the financial services sector, particularly investment banking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the enterprise architecture strategy to support business objectives and regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture roadmap for digital transformation and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior business and IT stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions.
  • Establish architectural principles, standards, and governance frameworks for technology decision-making.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud, data, and application architectures.
  • Ensure integration and interoperability across banking platforms and third-party solutions.
  • Work with engineering, security, and risk management teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to solution architects and IT professionals.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and management to align with enterprise architecture goals.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture within the financial services industry, preferably investment banking.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, financial regulations, and risk management principles.
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Proficiency in cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Solid experience in microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, including data governance and analytics.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.

Salary (Rate): £125.00
