Summary: The Enterprise Architect – Integration Architecture role is a senior position within the Strategic Architecture team, focusing on developing and delivering integration architecture strategies. Candidates must hold valid SC or CTC clearance and will work on-site three days a week at various locations. The position offers a contract with a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of architects across business and technology domains.
  • Develop and maintain architectural visions, roadmaps, and standards.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape strategy and ensure alignment with our client's principles.
  • Support investment case development and whole life costing.
  • Drive innovation through emerging technologies and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Assure architectural outputs and mentor junior architects.
  • Contribute to supplier evaluations and commercial processes.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a senior architecture role, ideally within government or civil service.
  • Must be able to lead on Integration architecture.
  • Must have previous central government experience.
  • Expertise in guiding and setting architectural guardrails at a domain level.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework.

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect – Integration Architecture to join our client’s Strategic Architecture team. This senior role is pivotal in shaping and delivering the integration architecture strategy.

Please note valid SC or CTC clearance is essential.

You will lead architectural engagements, develop strategic roadmaps, and influence investment decisions, working across both technology and operational domains. This role demands strong stakeholder management, leadership of mixed-grade architecture teams, and the ability to drive innovation and best practice.

Security Clearance Candidates must hold valid SC or CTC clearance to be considered for this role.

In return, you will receive the opportunity to support a major government department, going through large transformation. The possibility to work on a 6 month contract paying up to £850 p/day (in scope of IR35). Please note there is a requirement to be on site 3 days per week. This can be based at the following office locations: : York, Newcastle, Warrington, Bristol, Birmingham, London, Peterborough or Reading.
