Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining and owning enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmaps (business, technology, and data).
  • Identifying priorities for change and enabling delivery at pace.
  • Taking a strategic view across multiple architectural domains and programmes.
  • Influencing decision-making to support reuse, sustainability, scalability, and value for money.
  • Establishing architectural principles, policies, and standards.
  • Consulting across the organisation and supporting collaboration.
  • Understanding organisational ecosystems, dependencies, and reference architectures.
  • Leading architectural governance and assurance activities.
  • Horizon scanning and applying emerging trends to organisational strategy.
  • Developing and supporting the architecture community.
  • Communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coaching others on architectural communication and decision-making.
  • Problem definition, shaping solution options, and challenging assumptions.
  • Evaluating suppliers and understanding contractual frameworks.
  • Supporting conflict resolution and cross-team collaboration.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in large, complex environments.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ISEB.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, IT4IT, or COBIT.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coaching and mentoring abilities.

We’re looking for an Enterprise Architect for our public sector client based in Salisbury & Fareham on an initial 12 month contract paying up to £706 per day inside IR35. This role offers hybrid working with an expectation to be on site occasionally. You will need to either hold current Security Clearance (SC) or have the ability to pass it. The successful Enterprise Architect will possess proven experience working across large, complex environments and will be confident operating at both strategic and delivery levels. You will be responsible for translating business strategy into actionable change, leading cross-cutting capabilities, and shaping enterprise-wide architectural direction.
