Summary: The Enterprise Architect role involves leading a digital transformation programme by translating business strategies into actionable changes and technical deliveries. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify priorities for change and enable delivery at pace
  • Lead cross-cutting capabilities that support business transformation
  • Own the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, including “as is”, “to be”, and transitional states
  • Collaborate across business units to support decision-making
  • Take a strategic view across architectural domains, portfolios, and programmes
  • Recommend solutions that promote reuse, scalability, and value for money
  • Establish and maintain architectural principles, policies, and standards
  • Mentor and develop the architecture community
  • Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging trends and their potential impact

  • Strategic Architecture: Assess trends impacting organisations and advise on policy, strategy, and standards
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels; mediate complex architectural discussions
  • Commercial Acumen: Evaluate and select suppliers and contractual frameworks
  • Collaboration: Resolve high-level organisational challenges, coach teams on dynamics and conflict resolution
  • Architectural Decision-Making: Make and guide complex architecture decisions with enterprise-wide impact
  • Problem Definition & Shaping: Frame complex problems to create actionable solutions, challenge assumptions, and explore options
  • Qualifications: Essential: TOGAF or ISEB Plus one of: ITIL, IT4IT, or COBIT Certification
