Summary: The role of Lead Enterprise Architect focuses on providing architectural leadership within the Defence sector, specifically in Aerospace and MOD environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural governance and ensure secure-by-design principles are embedded across programmes.
  • Influence organisational strategy and technology direction at senior levels.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including government and executive levels.
  • Chair design reviews and provide technical assurance across engineering units.
  • Mentor and coach to support the growth of architectural capability.

Key Skills:

  • Security cleared (SC).
  • Current experience as an Enterprise Architect in Defence, MOD, or Aerospace.
  • Secure by design experience.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, MODAF, NAF).
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of cyber security principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven mentoring and coaching experience.

Salary (Rate): £104.00/hr

A leading Defence prime based in the Reading area are looking to onboard a Security Cleared Lead Enterprise Architect with extensive experience in the Aerospace, Defence or MOD area. We are specifically looking for candidates with the below key skills.

  • Security cleared (SC)
  • Current/Most recent experience working as an Enterprise Architect with A Defence, MOD or Aerospace client – Must have secure by design experience.
  • Ability to influence organisational strategy, technology direction, and external engagement at senior levels.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, MODAF, NAF) and their application in secure, complex environments.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at government and executive levels.
  • Proven ability to lead architectural governance and ensure secure-by-design principles are Embedded across programmes.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, secure system design, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience chairing design reviews and providing technical assurance across engineering units.
  • Proven mentoring and coaching experience, supporting the growth of architectural capability.
