Summary: Enterprise Architect required to develop strategies and solutions for technology systems design and integration, ensuring alignment with business growth. The role involves analyzing the current technical environment, mapping technology platforms, and recommending improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience managing IT functions in mid-sized technology companies. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week in Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mapping out the status and evolution of all technology platforms
- Considering business strategy, user needs, and technological advancements to ensure seamless system integration
- Reviewing the current team to identify capability gaps and recommending training and recruitment
- Designing a proposed system architecture to enhance user and customer experience
- Embedding sustainability and scalability into architectural decisions
- Collaborating across teams to ensure architectural integrity, performance, and value delivery
Key Skills:
- Experience as an Enterprise Architect
- Knowledge of IT function management
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies
- Ability to identify pitfalls and make technology recommendations
- Experience in mid-sized companies with 500 - 1000 users
- Background in technology companies preferred

Enterprise Architect needed to provide strategy and solutions for the design, integration, and ongoing enhancement of technology systems. This includes overseeing the architectural alignment of platforms, scalability and adaptability, and ensuring the technology landscape directly supports both current operations and future growth of the business.
The tech environment is predominantly Microsoft Stack - 365, SharePoint, Co Pilot along with various software applications eg Salesforce, Ticketing, Billing systems.
You will come in and analyse the current technical environment and team and develop a roadmap. This will include:
* Mapping out the status and evolution of all technology platforms
* Consider business strategy, user needs, and technological advancements, ensuring all systems work seamlessly together
* Review current team and identify capability gaps, recommend training areas and recruitment
* Design a proposed system architecture to enhance user and customer experience
* Embed sustainability and scalability into architectural decisions
* Collaborate across teams to ensure architectural integrity, performance, and value delivery
You will be an experience Architect who has done this before! You will know how to run an IT function, understand infrastructure technologies, know what pitfalls to avoid and make recommendations around technology and solutions. We are looking for someone ideally who has managed an IT function previously.
