Summary: The Enterprise Architect role focuses on leading the design and implementation of a modern architecture for a client's aerospace platform, transforming legacy systems into a scalable digital ecosystem. The position requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture and aerospace documentation standards, with a strong emphasis on compliance and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing architecture blueprints and ensuring adherence to industry standards. This contract position is based near Nottingham, UK, and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the future state of architecture.
- Develop architecture blueprints that align with aerospace industry standards.
- Lead the transition and migration from current systems (COTS or Custom) to interoperable platforms.
- Design/architect solutions for content Authoring, CSDB, Publishing and delivery to IETP/IETM using modern technologies (XML, DITA, CMS).
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, regulatory, and quality standards in aerospace.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of aerospace documentation standards (S1000D, S2000M, ATA iSpec 2200, ASD-STE100).
- Familiarity with content management systems, XML/DITA, and digital publishing tools.
- Familiarity with business workflow management tools – BREX, Schematron, Activiti, etc.
- Working knowledge with logging & monitoring and Data Ingestion Transformation Analytics.
- Ability to transform complex business requirements into technical design specifications.
- Expertise in TOGAF, ArchiMate, and other EA frameworks is desirable.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Microservices, and API-led integration is desirable.
