Summary: The role of Enterprise Architect involves leading the design and integration of complex technical and business solutions for a government client. This long-term contract position requires a strategic thinker to shape the organization's future through robust architecture and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and develop enterprise architecture, including As-Is, To-Be, and Target State models
- Provide architectural assurance across portfolios, programmes, and projects
- Align delivery with the organisation's Technology Strategy, Roadmaps, and Enterprise Architecture
- Collaborate with engineering teams across the full life cycle: design, implementation, testing, and operations
- Identify and eliminate duplicate business capabilities across the organisation
- Promote best practices and methodologies from across industry
Key Skills:
- Deep understanding of architectural frameworks (eg TOGAF, MODAF, DODAF, Zachman, UML, COBIT)
- Proven experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Strong background in strategy, design, and integration at an enterprise scale
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including reporting to programme directors and senior business partners
- Experience working with external delivery partners and contractors
- Familiarity with ITIL, PRINCE2, or PROSCI
- Understanding of how solution changes impact business and technical outcomes
- Awareness of strategic direction across both business and technology domains

We're working with a government client seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and integration of complex technical and business solutions across IT, HR, Estates, and more. This is a long-term contract role focused on shaping the organisation's future through robust architecture and strategic planning.
Location: Full-time on-site in Milton Keynes
Security Clearance: You will have to undergo DV clearance (can take ~12 months; you may work other roles during this time)
