Summary: The Enterprise Architect at the British Heart Foundation (BHF) will be pivotal in shaping the strategic infrastructure approach and ensuring excellence in architectural processes. This role involves managing a small team of Solution Architects to design and implement technical solutions for both Business as Usual (BAU) and Line of Business (LoB) systems. The position requires collaboration with vendors and stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions aligned with BHF's mission. The role is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, blending remote work with time in the London office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape the strategic infrastructure approach and architectural processes.
• Manage a team of Solution Architects to design and implement technical solutions.
• Develop and assist with solutions for BAU and LoB systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Provide governance and direction for data and technology initiatives.

Key Skills:

• Experience in developing and implementing technology roadmaps for enterprise-level infrastructure.
• Proficiency in architecture frameworks and tooling at an enterprise level.
• Knowledge of design and review processes, including architectural reviews.
• Strong experience in managing virtual teams and working with third parties.
• Expertise in core technologies such as Azure/IaaS, VMWare, Cisco, and Microsoft Entra.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to communicate complex infrastructure matters in business terms.
