Summary: The Enterprise Architect role is focused on leading a critical transformation programme for a major finance player, specifically overseeing the decommissioning of an Enterprise Architecture Platform and transitioning to a new platform by year-end. The position requires a blend of strategic oversight and practical execution, ensuring minimal disruption during the migration process. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to align the new tooling with existing architecture governance and standards. This is a contract position with an urgent timeline for delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of the iServer transition programme, working across business and technology domains to drive successful delivery.
  • Define and execute the roadmap for migration, ensuring minimal disruption to existing architecture governance and artefacts.
  • Evaluate, select, and onboard the target platform in alignment with enterprise architecture goals and stakeholder requirements.
  • Work closely with architecture, technology, and business teams to understand current usage of iServer, catalogue dependencies, and define migration strategies.
  • Ensure new tooling integrates effectively into the broader architecture landscape, including alignment with frameworks, standards, and governance processes.
  • Provide hands-on support to technical and non-technical users during the transition.
  • Produce clear documentation, training materials, and transition plans to support change management efforts.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record in Enterprise Architecture roles with a strong delivery focus – able to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Demonstrable experience of decommissioning or migrating from iServer or similar EA tooling (e.g. Ardoq, LeanIX, Bizzdesign, OrbusInfinity).
  • Deep understanding of EA frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) coupled with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to work with senior leadership, architecture teams, and delivery functions.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with aggressive timelines and complex dependencies.
  • Familiarity with architecture modelling standards (e.g. ArchiMate) and integration with CMDBs, APIs, or other enterprise tooling.
