Summary: The Enterprise Architect role is a 6-month contract focused on establishing and leading the Enterprise Architecture function for a key client. The position requires collaboration with Solution Architects and the Technology Leadership team to drive a defined technology strategy while engaging with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset and broad technical knowledge, ensuring alignment with business goals. This role emphasizes leadership, governance, and transformation initiatives across various technology pillars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and refine the initial strategy while remaining flexible to potential changes over time.
  • Establish and formalise the Enterprise Architecture function, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategy.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Solution Architects and technology teams.
  • Work closely with the Technology Leadership team to advance the existing technology strategy.
  • Engage with C-suite executives and key stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions effectively.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and risk management are embedded within the technology roadmap.
  • Identify and drive transformation initiatives across various pillars, including technology strategy, data strategy, governance, and back-office functions.

Key Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and visioning skills, ensuring architecture aligns with long-term organisational objectives.
  • Expertise in multiple technical domains, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, data architecture, integration, and emerging technologies such as AI.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and architectural governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong governance and risk management experience, with a track record of implementing architectural standards and compliance processes.
