Summary: The role of Enterprise Architect – Core Banking is a senior position focused on leading the transformation of a tier-1/2 bank's core banking platform. The architect will define the target architecture, oversee migration from legacy systems, and ensure alignment across various stakeholders. This position requires extensive experience in enterprise architecture and core banking, with an immediate start. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the target architecture for core banking transformation
- Lead migration planning from legacy platforms to modern cores
- Advise and challenge the SI, ensuring alignment across engineering, risk, security, and ops
- Communicate effectively at ExCo/SteerCo level – simplifying complexity, making decisions, and driving alignment
- Engage across Product, Technology, Ops, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory stakeholders
Key Skills:
- 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, with deep experience in Core Banking
- Proven leadership on at least one full end-to-end core replacement or carve-out
- Strong grasp of payments, ledgers, data, resilience, security, and regulatory demands
- Broad, vendor-agnostic knowledge of legacy and next-gen core platforms
- Exceptional communication skills with the credibility to influence at executive level

We’re looking for a senior, independent Enterprise Architect to lead the charge, challenge the SI, and set the direction on this business-critical journey.
