This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced QTS/QTLS practitioners seeking a well-supported role with strong daily rates of pay.
Daily rate: £168 - £232 per day (depending on experience)
The role You will be teaching English Language and Literature to GCSE across Key Stages 3 and 4 on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:00pm). The role requires a teacher who can deliver engaging, inclusive lessons and maintain a calm and focused classroom environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong behaviour management skills and create a respectful and supportive learning environment
- Be able to adapt lessons to suit a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and learning needs
- Demonstrate the ability (or strong potential) to support students in exceeding expected progress, for example improving from grade 3 to grade 6 or higher
- Be flexible, committed and enthusiastic about teaching English
While there is no timetabled Key Stage 5 teaching, the school does have a small and growing sixth form, so experience or confidence in teaching A Level English would be advantageous.
