Summary: The Engineering Technician role is a full-time, permanent position based in Aylesford, focused on providing engineering support in a manufacturing environment, particularly in food production. Key Responsibilities:
- Performing reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance on critical equipment
- Supporting production teams and responding to technical issues efficiently
- Prioritising work orders and communicating with stakeholders and supervisors
- Maintaining accurate records through a CCMS system
- Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with PTW & RAMS
- Leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives
- Carrying out project installations to current UK Regulations
- Ensuring excellent housekeeping and maintaining food hygiene standards
Key Skills:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar (or time-served equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment (ideally food production)
- Experience with CMMS systems and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, and fault finding (advantageous)
- IOSH or Legionella qualifications (desirable)
- A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
