Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical handling and automation equipment

  • Support inspections, system testing, and minor repairs independently or alongside senior engineers
  • Accurately log work completed using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Assist in root cause analysis of recurring faults and recommend practical fixes
  • Follow health and safety procedures and operate access equipment where needed (including working at height)

Key Skills:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, field service, or technical support (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
  • Basic understanding of automation systems, conveyors, or control panels
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and follow structured procedures
  • Comfortable working at height
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic
  • Preferred: Experience with PLC fault finding
  • Prior work in warehouse automation or logistics equipment maintenance

Position: Engineering Technician (Contractor Role)

About the Role

We’re seeking reliable and technically capable Engineering Technicians to join our contractor network and support the maintenance and optimisation of a high-tech automated facility. This is an ideal opportunity for professionals with a few years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical systems who are ready to take the next step in their careers—whether you're already a contractor or looking to become one. As a key part of the on-site maintenance team, you’ll work with a range of automated equipment and gain exposure to cutting-edge systems in logistics and robotics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical handling and automation equipment
