Summary: The Engineering Support role involves proactively assisting the site team with all engineering aspects of construction works, focusing on developing technical solutions and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders. The position requires the production and approval of various technical drawings and schedules, as well as addressing potential technical challenges on-site. The candidate will engage with multiple departments and lead meetings to ensure continuous improvement and implementation of solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cage standardisation with the approval of the PM (cost)
- Provide controlled pile schedules tailored to site
- Responsible for the production of fabrication drawings including temporary works/lifting points in the cages
- Leading, checking, and approving fabrication drawings from cage suppliers
- Responsible for the production of method drawings (cage installation, central bar installation, etc.)
- Ensuring method drawings are understood by key people onsite (work manager, PM, site Engineer, supervisor)
- Responsible for the production of the PTP and WTP drawings
- Liaise with Designers, TWC, Cages Suppliers, Plant Department, Testing Companies, Procurement for Engineering and Technical aspects
- Provide solutions to site teams and involve relevant persons for implementation
- Understand site, design and programme expectations
- Anticipate and address potential technical challenges on-site
- Engage and receive feedback from the site team for continuous improvement
- Review associated task briefings when required
- Review ITP and provide comments to ensure quality
- Review RAMS and provide comments on technical matters
Key Skills:
- Previous piling site Engineer experience required
- AutoCAD skills desired but optional
- Piling Design experience desired but optional
- Proficiency in Excel for efficiency is essential
- TW management preferred but optional
- Ability to read, understand and implement drawings, sketches and specifications
- Ability to recognize knowledge and skill limitations
- Ability to organize and lead regular meetings with site teams
