Summary: The Engineering Project Manager at Bilfinger UK is responsible for overseeing the delivery of engineering projects during the detailed design phase, acting as the primary contact for the project team. This role involves managing multi-discipline engineering projects across various sectors, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of single and multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects.
  • Manage project budgets, planning, and change control processes.
  • Oversee projects from concept to commissioning in both green and brownfield applications.
  • Act as the focal point for clients and ensure project completion post-invoice payment.
  • Coordinate with Lead Engineers, Engineers, and Designers to achieve project goals.
  • Implement engineering project management and design management plans.
  • Ensure high-quality engineering and design that meets client satisfaction.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the company and support sales and business management.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Manager in multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience in setting up engineering project schedules and reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of engineering and design disciplines: Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering phases: concept, FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning.
  • Understanding of standard forms of contract (NEC3 and 4, FIDIC).
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Ability to implement change control procedures effectively.
  • Relevant engineering degree (BSc/BEng/MSc) and chartered or incorporated engineer qualification preferred.
