Engineering Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring delivery within budget and planning.
• Act as the primary contact for the project team and client, overseeing project execution.
• Develop and implement engineering project management and design management plans.
• Manage project schedules and reporting systems, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Oversee all phases of engineering projects from concept to commissioning, including change control.
• Identify growth opportunities within the company and support sales and business management.
• Delegate tasks to team members while maintaining oversight of project progress.
• Implement change control procedures and communicate budget implications to clients.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Manager in multi-discipline projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering and design disciplines including Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process.
• Experience with engineering project scheduling and reporting systems.
• Sound understanding of engineering phases: concept, FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning.
• Familiarity with standard forms of contract (NEC3, NEC4, FIDIC).
• Result-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction and quality delivery.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage project activities effectively.
• Leadership skills to motivate and guide project teams towards achieving targets.
• BSc/BEng/MSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer qualification from APM is advantageous.
