Summary: The Engineering Project Manager at Bilfinger UK is responsible for overseeing the delivery of engineering projects across various sectors, including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Energy. This role involves managing project teams, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule, and maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. The position offers opportunities for professional development and the chance to work on significant design and EPC projects in the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will lead multi-discipline teams and be the primary contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver single and multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects.
  • Oversee project lifecycle from concept to commissioning, including change control and profit and loss management.
  • Act as the primary focal point for the project team and clients.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget and planning constraints.
  • Develop and implement engineering project management and design management plans.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve targets and maintain quality standards.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the company and support sales and business management.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Manager in multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience in setting up engineering project schedules and reporting systems.
  • Good knowledge of engineering and design disciplines: Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process.
  • Sound practical knowledge of engineering and construction project phases.
  • Understanding of common standard forms of contract (NEC3 and 4, FIDIC, etc.).
  • Result-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction and quality delivery.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead, delegate, and motivate teams effectively.
  • Preferred: BSc/BEng/MSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer Qualification from APM.
  • Experience in highly regulated process industries.
