Summary: The Engineering Project Manager at Bilfinger UK is responsible for overseeing the delivery of engineering projects across various sectors, including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Energy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project teams and clients, overseeing project execution and performance.
  • Develop and implement engineering project management and design management plans.
  • Manage change control processes and ensure client satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with various engineering disciplines and maintain project reporting systems.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the company and support sales and business management efforts.
  • Delegate tasks to team members while maintaining oversight of project progress and quality.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Manager in multi-discipline projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and design disciplines including Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process.
  • Experience with project scheduling and reporting systems.
  • Understanding of engineering phases: concept, FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract (NEC3 and 4, FIDIC).
  • Result-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction and quality delivery.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, implement change control procedures, and manage project dependencies.
  • Preferred qualifications include a BSc/BEng/MSc in a relevant engineering discipline and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
