Summary: Rubicon Consulting is seeking an Engineering/Manufacturing Technician specializing in rotating machinery for a 6-month rolling contract in Warwickshire. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and standardized work instructions.
- Build and Assemble rotor components including shafts, laminations, cores, windings, bearings, and housings according to engineering specifications.
- Perform gas brazing and induction brazing of copper components, ensuring proper joint integrity, alignment, and quality standards.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometres, callipers, dial indicators, and other inspection tools.
- Balance and align rotors to ensure proper function, minimal vibration, and high performance.
- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to meet company and customer standards.
- Identify and eliminate waste in the production process using Lean thinking principles.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and team problem-solving efforts.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and adhere to safety procedures.
Key Skills:
- Experience as an Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Technician.
- Background in rotating machinery such as motors, generators, turbines, or similar.
- Hands-on brazing experience (gas or induction).
