Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of new features for core technology linking user experience to B2B suppliers.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing software engineering team.
  • Ensure the team’s skills are current and aligned with technical challenges.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and influence stakeholders for positive technology change.
  • Deliver scalable systems capable of supporting significant transaction volumes.
  • Implement and monitor SDLC processes including TDD and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the technology landscape.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in software engineering with C# or Java.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Thorough understanding of microservices architecture/SOA.
  • Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms.
  • Strong grasp of SDLC from TDD to CI/CD.
  • Ability to deliver scalable systems for high transaction volumes.
  • Experience in managing and coaching high-performing teams.
  • Empathetic leadership and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Engineering Manager C#. NET

We ve been exclusively retained by our client, a well loved household name, known for their award winning delivery in the B2C space, to help them with their search for a senior engineer. You will be overseeing the delivery of new features of their core technology, which links the every day user experience to Back End B2B suppliers.

This is mission critical software for this business. At the crux of the successful applicant is a tech savvy, pragmatic, authentic and compassionate leader who sees programming languages as a tools to address a challenges, rather than being hung up on the tooling itself. In order to build empathy with your team, there is an expectation that you will have risen into your current position from a foundation of hands on OO programming.

Essential skills for the role:

  • Minimum 8 years experience working in software engineering with either C# or Java.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with cloud technology - AWS, GCP, Azure or equivalents.
  • Thorough understanding of microservices architecture/SOA
  • Experience working with Kafka/other streaming platforms also of interest
  • Strong grasp of the developers perspective on SDLC from TDD, through to CI/CD pipeline implementation and monitoring
