Key Responsibilities:

  • Overarching control of the Engineering team including New Product Introductions, In Service Engineering support, and Production support during Engineering Changes.
  • Budgetary responsibility for all Group CAPEX and Recharge projects including management of the “gated” NPI process.
  • Engineering structural changes and transition to develop a High Performing Team.
  • Support the Management Team and COO by offsetting known Engineering risks.
  • Collaborate with other business units for joint developments or product improvements.
  • Design for Manufacture and for Service with a focus on improving product reliability.
  • Assist with product cost reduction programmes.
  • Occasional travel to other business units around the world.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years Engineering Design experience, ideally electronic/electrical biased with some mechanical experience.
  • Good written and oral English.
  • Excellent decision making and methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire, coach and lead a Team.
  • Attention to detail and well-organized.
  • Computer literate with experience in MS Office.
  • Available for occasional travel.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems such as Infor LN is desirable.

An exciting “growth” opportunity for a well-versed and operationally aligned and astute Engineering Manager to make a true impact in the Ground Support Market. You will be charged with developing and nurturing a group of outstanding Engineers to deliver power conversion solutions across the Globe through the Alvest and TLD Network whilst supporting the transition of Powervamp Limited to support challenging growth plan. Poised for growth with an array of novel products offering true value to our customers, this role offers a unique advantage to join a well-unified STEERING COMMITTEE and to become a leader with breadth and impact across, not only TLD PV, but the very successful Group Alvest.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Overarching control of the Engineering team including New Product Introductions, In Service Engineering support, and Production support during Engineering Changes.
  • Budgetary responsibility for all Group CAPEX and Recharge projects including vigorous management of the “gated” NPI process whilst ensuring all requirements are met/ captured through deep stakeholder engagement.
  • Engineering structural changes and transition to develop a High Performing Team, operationally aligned, whilst offsetting key skill risks.
  • As a STEERCO member, to support the Management Team and COO by offsetting all known Engineering risk whilst supporting the business mandate.
  • Collaborate with other business units around the world for joint developments or product improvements.
  • Design for Manufacture and for Service with a key focus on improving product reliability through targeted Service Bulletin campaigns and Engineering designs.
  • Assist with product cost reduction programmes.
  • Occasional travel to other business units around the world (Europe, China, America, Canada and India).

Education
