Engineering Manager

Summary: The Engineering Manager will oversee all engineering design activities for a development project with an Operator client in Aberdeen. This role involves ensuring timely delivery of FPSO design in accordance with contractual obligations and managing engineering needs throughout all project phases. The Engineering Manager will also coordinate integrated activities and maintain compliance with UKCS regulatory requirements while providing technical oversight and assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all engineering design activities and procurement elements throughout project phases.
• Accountable for timely delivery of FPSO design against BOD, SOR, and Scope of Work.
• Identify engineering needs and manage interfaces, technical risks, and change management.
• Coordinate integrated activities for surface facilities, subsea, and flow assurance.
• Ensure alignment of engineering design with business drivers and plans.
• Contribute to Decision Technical Notes for critical technical decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of UKCS regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external engineering contractors and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Set and assure application of engineering standards and approve engineering audits.
• Provide technical approval for management of change proposals and ensure technical integrity assurance.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience in engineering management, particularly in FPSO projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design processes and procurement activities.
• Ability to manage technical risks and interfaces effectively.
• Familiarity with UKCS regulatory requirements.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills across disciplines.
• Proficiency in decision-making and technical approval processes.
• Experience in managing external engineering contractors.
