What you will be doing Build, lead, and mentor a team of backend engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration while putting a strong emphasis on engineering excellence. Evolve our architecture and infrastructure to support the growing scale of users, features, and data. Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the company, and develop a deep understanding of the business vision to ensure the data platform continues to meet evolving needs while maintaining technical excellence. Define and monitor metrics and KPIs to measure the health, performance, and impact of our data systems, continuously optimizing for scalability, reliability, and efficiency. Have full responsibility for data compliance in the organization and lead the design and implementation of data compliance and privacy processes.

Your Skills And Experience 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a technical team, managing projects, aligning with business needs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable and highly available backend systems. Strong ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and adapt quickly to shifting demands and specifications. Experience designing and building data-intensive architecture. Experience managing payloads running on a major cloud provider. Familiarity with global privacy and security regulations and certification processes (GDPR, CCPA, SOC, etc.) and a strong understanding of data privacy best practices.

Preferred Requirements Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and relational databases, along with a solid understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts and frameworks. Experience with functional programming and stream processing technologies (e.g., Flink, Storm, Spark Streaming), including hands-on design and optimization. Experience running payloads at a major scale, handling tens of thousands of events per second from multiple sources.
