Summary: The Engineering Data Coordinator role involves managing the delivery of engineering data to support virtual build and testing activities for automotive vehicle programmes. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of data, while also identifying and resolving issues. This role is pivotal in enhancing the company's capabilities in engineering data management, contributing to innovative vehicle development. The position is based in Gaydon, a center for automotive excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the delivery of engineering data (CAD) to support virtual build and testing activities for future vehicle programmes.
- Develop and maintain a delivery plan by collaborating with engineering teams to meet programme milestones.
- Identify risks and issues within the engineering data delivery process and ensure they are escalated and resolved effectively.
- Ensure the quality of engineering data aligns with virtual build and test requirements, tracking issues to resolution.
- Provide regular status updates, highlighting key activities, risks, and open issues to stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with engineering teams to drive seamless collaboration and delivery.
Key Skills:
- Basic knowledge of automotive engineering content and familiarity with CAD or Bill of Materials.
- Proven experience in managing projects, with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to support project reporting and planning.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
