Summary: The Energy Neighbours Data and Information Officer will support the Energy Neighbours team by managing and reporting project data, ensuring its accuracy and accessibility. This role involves collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to facilitate effective data capture and reporting. The position is temporary, focusing on community capacity-building and reducing inequalities in fuel poverty. The officer will also provide training and guidance on data management practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Overall Purpose To support the Energy Neighbours team in the secure collection, entry, management and reporting of the project data. The Data Officer ensures that data is well organised, accessible and accurate to support project delivery, learning and impact reporting. The Data and Information Officer is a key role in the project, bringing expertise and technical skills to the team, sharing these through training and guidance. They ensure there are clear and secure systems and processes to manage data risks and ensure good practice. The projects data systems will include all details of community organisations, participants, volunteers, staff and partners and their recordings of activity, feedback and work together. Microsoft 365 will be the main platform for documents and communication. The Energy Neighbours Data and Information Officer will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure effective data capture and reporting for the project.
About The Project The Energy Neighbours project has a clear community capacity-building approach. It aims to be inclusive and act to reduce inequalities and is focused on communities in fuel poverty. The approach is to work with communities, listening to local priorities, experimenting and learning together, being transparent and accountable, and sharing decision-making power. The project values ways of working such as Asset Based Community Development, Co-production, Community wealth-building and Community Organising. Energy Neighbours helps communities to reduce their energy use, energy costs and fossil fuel use while strengthening community economies, networks and connections. This innovative project is participating in the National Lottery Climate Action Fund learning partnership. The Project Manager will ensure full and effective sharing of learning across project partners and with other learning partners nationally.
