Summary: This role is essential within a small team focused on supporting end-user device services at D&I. The position involves managing the client device estate, ensuring documentation is current, and supporting the Problem Management function. The ideal candidate will be a product expert in various client-related tools and will contribute to device initiatives and strategies. Preference is given to internal Trust staff and those with relevant experience, particularly NHS At Risk staff in Devon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining and managing the client device estate.
  • Ensure all client documentation is up to date and published correctly.
  • Support the Problem Management function for D&I.
  • Act as a product expert for tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Imprivata OneSign, antivirus, and Intune.
  • Conduct technical assessments and approve hardware variations from Procurement requests.
  • Input into device initiatives and strategies, including BYOD.
  • Manage printer operations and monitor fault logs to address issues.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Imprivata OneSign, antivirus, and Intune.
  • Strong understanding of client device management.
  • Ability to maintain and update documentation.
  • Technical assessment skills for hardware variations.
  • Problem-solving skills related to device management.
  • Experience in a healthcare or NHS environment is preferred.

This is a key post within a small close -knit team providing support for all end user device related services provided by D&I. Involvement in the delivery of the Problem Management function for D&I. The post holder will be required to assist with maintaining and managing the client device estate. To ensure all client documentation is kept up to date and published in the correct format. Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as Priority and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification. Provide assurance that the Trust maintains a warranted environment that is fit for purpose. Including both hardware and the change control of device images.
