I'm currently working with a London Borough that is looking to appoint an Employment Lawyer to join its established legal team on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional to manage a varied employment law caseload while benefiting from a highly flexible working arrangement with minimal office attendance.
Responsibilities
- Employee relations issues
- Disciplinary and grievance matters
- TUPE and restructures
- Employment Tribunal claims
- Drafting and reviewing employment-related documentation
- Providing practical legal advice to HR and senior officers
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEx status
- Strong experience handling employment law matters
- Previous local government experience (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
This role offers a competitive rate of up to 60 per hour, flexible working arrangements, and the opportunity to work within a supportive local authority environment.
