Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary employment counsel for operations in Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, and Romania.
  • Provide additional support in the UK, Ireland, and Switzerland on an ad hoc basis.
  • Manage day-to-day employment law matters including hiring, performance management, and termination.
  • Address wage and hour rules, disability accommodation, harassment, discrimination, and bullying issues.
  • Handle contingent worker issues, investigations, and related litigation.
  • Support policy reviews to ensure global consistency in relevant territories.
  • Manage investigations and complex employment issues.

Key Skills:

Detailed Description From Employer:

Global business in the entertainment industry requires an Employment Lawyer to cover a period of maternity leave for 10-12 months.

The role is hybrid based in the company’s UK headquarters in Surrey – 3 days per week are required in the office (Tue/Wed/Thu).

Start Date: early April

The position is predominantly covering employment law work in Sweden, Finland, Romania and the Czech Republic so experience of matters in at least 1-2 of these territories is required. And you must possess the right to work in the UK – unfortunately sponsorship cannot be provided.

You will act as primary employment counsel for operations in Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, and Romania and act as additional support in the UK, Ireland and Switzerland on an ad hoc basis.

Managing all types of day-to-day employment law matters, like hiring; performance management and termination; wage and hour rules; disability accommodation; harassment, discrimination and bullying; contingent worker issues; investigations and related litigation.

Supporting policy reviews and ensuring all policies are as globally consistent as possible in the relevant territories, as well as the management of investigations and complex employment issues.
