Summary: The Employee Relations Specialist role is a fixed-term contract position focused on providing expert employee relations advice and coaching to managers and stakeholders. The specialist will manage complex cases and lead consultations for business change projects, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance. The position also involves driving continuous improvement initiatives and developing training to enhance performance. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of employee relations and the ability to communicate effectively across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of individual and collective consultation for business change projects including redundancy, TUPE, and changes of terms and conditions.
- Manage highly complex and high-risk cases including disciplinary, grievance, sickness, capability, appeals, whistleblowing, early conciliation, settlement agreements/COT3, and Employment Tribunals.
- Risk assess ER related issues and projects, providing clear and viable options for business consideration.
- Effective support, buddying, and development of the Advisors.
- Using ER data to identify trends/insights to meet stakeholder needs and identify opportunities for proactive intervention.
- Identifies shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, then collaborates with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with key internal customers and act as their business partner.
- Develops training courses to meet identified needs to improve performance and meet business requirements.
Key Skills:
- CIPD Qualified or Part Qualified.
- Comprehensive experience in Employee Relations including management of complex/high risk cases.
- Technical knowledge to act independently as SME on guiding, coaching, and training managers.
- Excellent communication skills for risk assessment and providing options for balanced outcomes.
- Ability to develop commercial solutions while providing technical assistance in complex scenarios.
- Strong skills in interpreting data trends and horizon scanning.
