Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading disciplinary and grievance investigations end-to-end
  • Producing clear, well-structured investigation reports with practical recommendations
  • Supporting managers with long-term absence and performance concerns
  • Providing confident, pragmatic ER advice grounded in employment law
  • Working closely with operational leaders to ensure fair, consistent outcomes
  • Contributing to continuous improvement in ER processes and ways of working

Key Skills:

  • Strong, proven experience in ER investigations and casework
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Confidence advising and coaching managers through challenging situations
  • Clear, professional written skills – especially for investigation reports
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines, and prioritise competing cases
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience)

Iconic Resourcing is working with a values-led organisation to appoint an experienced Employee Relations professional to step into a dedicated ER investigations and casework role. This opportunity would suit someone who genuinely enjoys the detail and complexity of employee relations and prefers to focus on hands-on case management, rather than the broader strategic elements of a traditional HR role.

The role

You’ll act as a trusted ER specialist, taking ownership of a varied caseload.

Duties include:

  • Leading disciplinary and grievance investigations end-to-end
  • Producing clear, well-structured investigation reports with practical recommendations
  • Supporting managers with long-term absence and performance concerns
  • Providing confident, pragmatic ER advice grounded in employment law
  • Working closely with operational leaders to ensure fair, consistent outcomes
