Summary: The Employee Relations Specialist role at an established logistics company involves managing various employee relations issues while providing expert advice to ensure fair application of policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
- Support line managers in handling complex case work and ensuring legal compliance.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to promote employee well-being and engagement.
- Conduct investigations and prepare case documentation for disciplinary and grievance hearings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Deliver training sessions to managers on employee relations topics and best practices.
- Keep up to date on current employment legislation and ensure all HR practices are compliant.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload with tight deadlines.
- Experience in conducting investigations and managing complex ER cases.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
