Summary: The Employee Relations Lead role is a 12-month contract position within a reputable international Professional Services firm. The successful candidate will oversee the entire employee relations function, leading a team and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery. This position requires strategic planning and compliance oversight, with a focus on enhancing the firm's employee relations landscape. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for flexibility in office attendance based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the ER strategy in alignment with the firm’s HR and business objectives.
  • Leading a team of ER professionals, ensuring high performance and development opportunities.
  • Overseeing complex case management and providing commercial guidance on high-risk ER issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with ER policies and procedures, reflecting best practices.
  • Acting as the final escalation point for complex ER queries and risk-based decisions.
  • Building strong relationships with senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor on complex ER matters.
  • Collaborating with internal departments and external advisors to enhance the firm’s culture and governance.
  • Reviewing key themes and trends, providing proactive solutions and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintaining key metrics to measure the effectiveness of the ER team.
  • Coaching and developing the ER team, fostering a supportive culture.
  • Identifying training needs and facilitating workshops to ensure the team’s continuous improvement.

Key Skills:

  • Substantial experience managing complex ER cases at a senior level within Professional Services, Financial Services or a Large Commercial Organisation.
  • Proven experience in building and leading a team of at least 5 people.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practice trends.
  • A balanced approach to sensitive matters.
  • Confident in data analysis and presenting recommendations to leadership.
