Summary: The Employee Relations (ER) Case Manager at Barclays is responsible for providing comprehensive ER support and advice to managers and HR Business Partners across various UK businesses. This role involves managing employee relations cases, conducting investigations, and advising on regulatory matters while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. The position requires collaboration with senior stakeholders and the ability to handle complex cases effectively. The role is based in Glasgow and is offered as a fixed-term contract for 6-12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing end-to-end ER support and advice to managers and HRBPs.
- Attending meetings as ER support for managers in investigations, disciplinary, and grievance hearings.
- Independently leading and conducting investigations.
- Advising on complaints of harassment and overseeing formal processes.
- Assessing cases for potential Conduct Rules breaches in line with the UK SMCR regime.
- Providing analytics, insights, and trends to HRBPs.
- Ensuring accurate data recording for all ER cases.
- Supporting high-risk and complex cases involving regulatory matters.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within ER Case Management.
Key Skills:
- Depth of ER technical skills as a subject matter expert.
- Experience working with complex client groups as a trusted advisor.
- Solid understanding of the regulatory landscape.
- Excellent knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
- Experience managing various ER processes including investigations and grievances.
- Highly developed organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Influencing and negotiating skills with senior stakeholders.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft packages and data analysis experience.
- Experience in a global organization, preferably with European ER experience.
