Summary: This role involves leading the EMEA data workstream for a high-profile transformation programme aimed at modernising customer due diligence and regulatory operations within a leading international financial services organisation. The position requires strategic oversight of data migration readiness, governance frameworks, and stakeholder engagement across business and technology functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data transformation within regulated environments and the ability to communicate complex data challenges effectively. This is a strategic role with significant exposure to senior executives and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the EMEA data migration and readiness workstream within a major GKYC transformation programme.
- Assess current-state data quality and define remediation strategies where required.
- Drive data migration readiness activities, ensuring preparation for future platform implementation.
- Define and establish data governance frameworks, controls, and operating model requirements.
- Analyse and classify KYC and non-KYC data, including the management of complex and unstructured datasets.
- Develop and maintain data lineage across key systems and processes.
- Collaborate with technology, operations, business, and vendor teams to support migration planning and delivery.
- Shape strategic recommendations and translate complex data challenges into executive-level communications.
- Represent the data workstream at governance forums, steering committees, and senior leadership meetings.
- Influence key stakeholders and ensure alignment across business and technology teams.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience leading large-scale data migration or data transformation workstreams.
- Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, data management, and data lineage.
- Experience within KYC, AML, Client Due Diligence, Custody, or broader regulatory transformation programmes.
- The ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels, balancing delivery with long-term planning.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with Executive and C-suite audiences.
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities, with the ability to simplify complex data topics for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience developing governance frameworks and target operating models.
- Financial services experience within highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Lotus Notes and/or Fenergo would be highly advantageous.

Job Offer
- Up to £780 per day Umbrella Rate
- Initial 6-month contract with potential extension opportunities.
