Summary: The role of EMC Tester involves preparing and executing EMC test setups for an aerospace client, ensuring compliance with test specifications. The position requires close collaboration with clients to address testing focuses and investigate failures, while also engaging with EMC test labs to manage schedules. The tester will maintain clear records of test conditions and results, and coordinate with the testing team to ensure effective operations. This position is based in Portsmouth and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to prepare EMC test setup and execute the testing and make sure test specifications are followed in correct order.
- Closely work with clients to understand point of focus on the testing and help investigating EMC test failures.
- Involve in Engaging with EMC test labs on behalf of clients and making sure timely closure of test schedule.
- Formally Log test setup, product condition (before, during test and after test), and creating and maintaining clear test records.
- Able to review EMC Test results and feedback consolidated view to clients on the findings.
- Able to co-ordinate and work with testing team, help maintaining the test facilities.
- Regularly monitor test equipment and reporting anomalies or faults.
- Familiarity with EMC testing equipment's and standards for defence and Aerospace.
- Ability to communicate clearly/confidently and in-deal with clients.
