Summary: The Embedded Software Test Engineer role involves testing software components of a satellite communications Software Defined Radio (SDR) modem within a hybrid work environment. The position requires SC clearance and focuses on designing, implementing, and automating integration tests in a multi-disciplinary team. The engineer will also be responsible for diagnosing software issues in a lab setting. This is a 12-month contract position with a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, document, and implement integration tests for SDR modem software.
• Define and execute verification & validation activities.
• Automate testing using Linux tools and device interfaces (SNMP, HTTP).
• Diagnose software issues in a lab environment.

Key Skills:

• Proven integration testing experience (architecting & implementing).
• Experience with test frameworks (eg, Robot Framework, GoogleTest, Catch2).
• Strong Linux command-line & Scripting skills for test automation.
• Device automation via management interfaces (SNMP, HTTP).
• Proficiency with Git.
