Summary: The Embedded Software Model Developer role focuses on the design, development, and support of complex real-time embedded software for engine applications. The position requires expertise in Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow, along with experience in software version control systems and embedded programming. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners to implement software solutions and troubleshoot issues during the build and test phases. This is a 12-month assignment based in Peterborough, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and participate in the design, development, and support of complex real-time Embedded Engine Application Software features.
• Interface with internal partners and electronics system development engineers to implement solutions and determine requirements.
• Develop software functionality using Matlab/Simulink models.
• Create test cases for feature testing on Hardware in the Loop (HIL) systems.
• Verify and validate engine control features during the development process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electronics/control system issues during engine software build and test.
• Integrate, configure, and compile subsystem software.

Key Skills:

• Strong technical expertise in software, computing, electronics, control systems, or automotive engineering.
• Proven experience with Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow in complex embedded programming and debugging.
• 3 or more years of high-volume product industry experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle/machine/engine control systems.
• Experience with development processes for real-time control systems and software version control systems (GIT).
