Summary: The Embedded Field Engineer will serve as the primary interface for site-based projects in the UK, coordinating between the client site and the engineering team in India. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface for site-based projects between the client site and the engineering team.
  • Gather site information, field inputs, and clarifications for seamless engineering delivery.
  • Coordinate with site stakeholders and local vendors as needed.
  • Liaise with the client design lead for emerging project scenarios.
  • Plan and execute work related to assigned brownfield project scope.
  • Oversee FEED level engineering, procurement, and execution planning through to completion and start-up.
  • Participate in identification, sourcing, and management of long lead equipment.
  • Coordinate development of Project Management System deliverables and reviews.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between project stages and across sites.
  • Steward contractor performance and engage discipline engineers and expert resources as required.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of working experience in the petrochemical or refining industry.
  • Knowledge of industry design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
  • Demonstrated organizational, coordination, planning, and technical judgment skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Work Scope Overview

To be the primary interface for site-based projects between Client site and Quest Global (India Engineering team) Responsible to gather site information, field inputs & site clarification for smooth and seamless delivery of engineering. Shall we co-ordinate with Site stakeholders, local vendors, as needed. Should be liaising with Client design lead for any emerging scenarios in the project Responsible for planning and executing the work related to an assigned brownfield project scope. The assigned scope is determined and customized based on the project’s work breakdown (contracting) structure, geographic distribution and general needs. Typically assigned to the project commencing with FEED and continued through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up Possibility to participate in early concept selection, project screening and development planning Delegated Safety, Cost, Schedule, Quality, and Operability Stewardship responsibility for their assigned project scope. Contract ownership may also be delegated if appropriate Responsible for stewarding contractor’s performance, engaging/aligning key stakeholders, engaging discipline engineers and expert resources from the global experts, as required, to complete the assigned scope consistent with the project’s objectives.

Work Experience Requirement

Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical/ Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university. 5-10 years working experience which related to petrochemical / refining industry / similar process industries. Industry design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria Demonstrated organizational, coordination, planning, interface and technical judgment skills Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities. Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English

Exclusions

Not involved in any site manual operations / maintenance / commissioning / installation works. Below are the few key examples. No physical opening (Example: Opening the junction box), wiring and resealing. Electrical Power & distribution: Open enclosures, racking breakers, Terminating wires, Voltage testing, Instrumentation and control systems: Breaking process seals, calibration, loop turning (Physical), tubing work. Safety and isolation: Applying / removing locks (LOTO), Operating valves, Bypassing interlocks. Site Hazards: Working at heights, confined space entry, Hot work etc.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Work Requirements

This role is considered an on-site position located in UK. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
