Email Developer (Adestra Specialist)

About the Role

Our client are looking for an experienced Email Developer to join our team on a contract basis and support the delivery of a range of email campaigns using Adestra. This is a hands-on production role, perfect for someone confident building and deploying responsive, high-performing email templates and automated journeys.

You'll work closely with the CRM and marketing teams to turn creative and strategic briefs into functional, optimised communications that reach the right audience, in the right way-at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

Build responsive, accessible HTML emails in line with brand and campaign requirements

Set up, test, and deploy campaigns through Adestra, including automation flows and triggered journeys

Implement personalisation and dynamic content to enhance customer relevance

Ensure consistent rendering across email clients and devices through QA and testing

Develop and maintain modular templates for efficiency and scalability

Work with CRM/data leads to ensure proper tagging, segmentation, and reporting setup

Support both BAU comms and campaign-based activity across customer lifecycle stages

Required Skills and Experience

Demonstrable experience using Adestra, including automation and personalisation features

Strong HTML/CSS for email, with a focus on responsive, mobile-friendly builds

Understanding of cross-client rendering issues and accessibility

Experience using testing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid

Ability to work with data-driven content, conditional logic, and dynamic blocks

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Proactive and reliable, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
