Summary: Our client, a prominent Defence and Security Supplier, is seeking Electronics Test Engineers and Technicians for contract roles at their Glenrothes site. Candidates must be British nationals with at least five years of UK residency. The position involves diagnosing and testing complex electronic assemblies, with a focus on RF projects and process improvements. The contract duration is 12 months, with competitive hourly rates based on experience.

Key Skills:

Our client, a large Defence and Security Supplier is looking for Electronics Test Engineers and Technicians to join them on a contract basis at their site in Glenrothes.
- Due to the nature of the roles, applicants must hold the British nationality and resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
- Up to 45-58 p/h Umbrella depending on experience, inside IR35
- Monday to Thursday, 9.25 hours per day
- 12 month contract
Tasks include:
- Diagnose and fault find complex electronic assemblies to component level
- Test electronic assemblies
- Diagnose test equipment and faults
- Maintenance and calibration for test equipment
- Record tests, failure and yield reports
- Support engineering investigations
- Process improvement tasks in test area
- RF projects
The successful candidate will be qualified in electronics eg HNC, HND, Degree. Ideally with Radio Frequency (RF) skills as part of electronic skillset & previous experience of testing analogue and digital electronic assemblies down to component level and working on circuits.
Candidates will need to demonstrate experience in a similar environment eg using test and debug lab equipment and working in a complex electronic manufacturing engineering role. Ideally you'll have experience in debug of switch mode power supplies and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and/or STTE (Special to Type Test Equipment)
