Summary: This role involves working as an Electronics Test Engineer for a global leader in Aerospace & Defence electronics, focusing on ensuring the performance of aerospace systems through advanced electronic testing and fault diagnosis. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rigorous testing on complex electronic sub-assemblies and full systems used in high-reliability Aerospace applications.
- Execute detailed fault diagnosis and troubleshooting down to the component level, identifying failures in PCBAs and integrated circuits.
- Develop and implement both manual and automated test procedures to optimize manufacturing throughput and yield.
- Support Avionics testing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) to ensure hardware survival in extreme conditions.
- Analyze complex test data and yield trends, collaborating closely with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to drive design improvements.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Electronic Testing and Fault-Finding within a high-reliability sector such as Aerospace, Defence, or Automotive.
- Strong technical proficiency with lab equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Multimeters.
- Deep understanding of both AC/DC power products and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics.
- A Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent military/industrial experience).
- Eligibility for SC Security Clearance (requires UK residency for the last 5 years).
