Summary: The Electronics Test Assurance Engineer role involves supporting the operational requirements for manufacturing electronic engine control products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding electronic control products to component level and ensuring root cause solutions are implemented.
  • Technical responsibility for assigned work packages to assure electronic design meets performance requirements.
  • Complete detailed investigation documentation in accordance with Test Assurance guidelines and company procedures.
  • Provide technical diagnostic support and drive investigations to successful conclusions.
  • Interface between operations and engineering functions on new product introduction and continuous improvements.

Key Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of both analogue and digital circuits.
  • Logical approach to problem solving.
  • Thorough understanding of electronic circuits.
  • Experience diagnosing electronic products in harsh environmental conditions.
  • Experience with ATE equipment is an advantage.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing assembly & test.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interface with other functions.
  • High degree of self-management and self-motivation.
  • Strong team player with high performance standards.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Minimum HND qualified or equivalent experience in electronic engineering.

Job Purpose

To support the operational requirements for manufacturing electronic engine control products. The role will include technical diagnostic support, documenting investigation details whilst driving investigations to a successful conclusion. The role will also have a requirement to be the conduit for technical interfacing between the operations and engineering functions on new product introduction and mature product continuous improvements

Key Accountabilities

  • Fault finding electronic control products to component level and through to a root cause solution to ensure the fault is not repeated through test, design, build or supplier quality in a timely manner.
  • Technical responsibility for assigned work packages to assure the electronic design meets its performance requirements through analysis and test, satisfying the appropriate airworthiness requirements.
  • Complete detailed investigation documentation in accordance with Test Assurance guidelines and company procedures.

Functional/Technical Competencies and Level

  • Technical knowledge of both analogue and digital circuits.
  • A logical step by step approach and routine to problem solving.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of electronic circuits.
  • Experience of diagnosing electronic products in harsh environmental conditions.
  • Experience of ATE equipment is an advantage.
  • Experience of electronic manufacturing assembly & test.
