Summary: The role of Contract Electronics Technician involves joining an innovative electronics engineering business in Norwich, focusing on hands-on support within a fast-paced R&D environment. The technician will work on advanced development and testing projects, contributing to PCB modifications and electronics testing activities. This position offers an immediate start with overtime opportunities available. The contract is initially for three months and is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface mount & through-hole electronic PCB rework/modifications
- PCB soldering and board-level electronics modifications
- Wiring and building simple electronics test rigs
- Supporting electronics testing activities within the lab
- Managing and organising the electronics lab environment
- Documenting modifications and maintaining component/equipment control
- Supporting Electronics Engineers with ongoing electronics development work
Key Skills:
- Strong PCB rework and electronics soldering experience
- Previous experience within an R&D or electronics lab environment
- Comfortable supporting Electronics Engineers and working independently
- Strong understanding of electronics assembly and testing processes
- Organised, proactive and hands-on approach
- High-voltage electronics awareness or experience would be advantageous
