Summary: Morson Talent is seeking multiple Electronics Engineers for an Aerospace and Defence client in Bolton. The role involves servicing Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including fault finding, repair, and calibration tasks. Candidates will work within a Calibration & Maintenance Team, supporting complex test platforms for missile systems. SC clearance is required prior to the start date due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE).
  • Conduct fault finding and repair of test equipment.
  • Support routine calibrations and commissioning of Test Equipment.
  • Perform drift analysis.
  • Work within a team to support complex test platforms in missile systems manufacture and testing.
  • Calibrate and support factory test equipment using various technologies, DC to Microwave.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience in calibration of test equipment and maintenance to component level.
  • Able to utilize technical instructions, handbooks, and specifications for guidance.
  • Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
  • Able to mentor junior staff when requested.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills tailored to the audience.
  • Desirable: Understanding of SAP.
  • Advantageous: Experience with Environmental Chambers.
  • SC clearance or eligibility required.

Responsibilities: We are seeking several Electronics Engineer to join our Calibration & Maintenance Team, to service Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE . These tasks include fault finding and repair of test equipment, supporting routine calibrations, commissioning of Test Equipment and drift analysis. You will be working within an experienced team of Calibration & Maintenance Engineers supporting complex test platforms in the manufacture and test of complex missile systems. You will be trained to calibrate and support special to type factory test equipment using a range of technologies, DC to Microwave.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience and knowledge in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level.
  • Able to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance. Able to use this information to conduct appropriate measurements and repairs down to component level.
  • Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
  • Able to mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager.
  • Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience.
  • A good understanding of SAP would be desirable.
  • Experience of working on Environmental Chambers an advantage.
  • Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance, SC must be in place before start date.
