Summary: The role of Electronics Design (Test Design Support) Engineer involves providing crucial support during the manufacturing phase of advanced missile programmes within the defence and security sector. The position requires collaboration between design and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as a liaison between design teams and manufacturing teams
- Providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle
- Working on advanced missile programmes and subsystems
- Supporting launcher assemblies and other unique opportunities
- Delivering specific work packages, preparing bids, and managing costs
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of outputs
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
- Investigating root causes of design issues and proposing corrective actions
Key Skills:
- Background in electronics design
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), Electronics Design, and PCB
- Proven design experience in digital and analogue electronics, power electronics, RF & antenna, and interconnects
- Experience in test systems and safety electronics
- Strong schematic and PCB design skills
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation
