Electronic Design Engineer

Summary: The Electronic Design Engineer role involves contributing to the development of innovative products in the medical, healthcare, and consumer sectors. The position requires hands-on experience in full-cycle electronics development, collaborating with design, software, and mechanical teams. The role is based on-site in Bristol and is offered as an initial 3-month contract. The engineer will be responsible for translating ideas into manufacturable solutions through solid electronic design practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of innovative products across various sectors.
• Engage in full-cycle electronics development from concept to production-ready systems.
• Collaborate closely with design, software, and mechanical teams.
• Utilize solid electronic design experience in digital, analogue, and microcontroller-based systems.
• Perform schematic capture and PCB layout, preferably using Altium.
• Ensure compliance with BS design standards.
• Conduct wiring, soldering, and occasional SMT rework.
• Apply embedded C/C++ knowledge as needed.
• Leverage experience in regulated or medical device development.

Key Skills:

• Solid electronic design experience (digital, analogue, microcontroller-based).
• Proficient in schematic capture & PCB layout (Altium preferred).
• Familiarity with BS design standards and compliance.
• Skilled in wiring, soldering & occasional SMT rework.
• Embedded C/C++ knowledge is a bonus.
• Experience in regulated or medical device development is advantageous.
