Electricians

Summary: The role of Electrician involves working at Caterpillar's Larne facility, focusing on various electrical tasks including installation and maintenance. Electricians will work a four-day week, contributing to the company's success while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a temporary assignment starting in June 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret complex schematic drawings to plan assembly methods and sequences.
• Perform wiring, installation, terminations, connecting panels, and upfitting cable trays/ladder racks.
• Use a variety of power tools, hand tools, and other equipment.
• Report malfunctions on equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Adhere to the 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
• Train other employees as required and perform any other appropriate duties.

Key Skills:

• Experience as an Electrician with formal apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 17th/18th edition or equivalent qualification.
• Previous electrical experience in wiring, installation, terminations, and upfitting.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work from heights and in enclosed areas.
• Commitment to health and safety and quality standards.
• Basic computer literacy is advantageous but not essential.
