Summary: The role of Electrician involves supporting the Canal and River Trust estate through the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems across various mechanical and hydraulic infrastructures. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems across diverse assets.
- Conduct electrical fault-finding, repairs, and system upgrades.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance in water management and moving structures environments.
- Work with PLC systems, SCADA, control panels, actuators, and drive systems.
- Support electrical installations for mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
Key Skills:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
- BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- AM2 Assessment and Inspection and Testing Certification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391).
- Experience in electrical inspection, testing, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of working with PLC systems and electrical installations for hydraulic equipment.
